Hello! My name is Ashley and I am currently a Junior at Florida Gulf Coast University, majoring in Elementary Education. I chose to major in education because I absolutely love kids! I love kids so much that i decided to get a job as a full-time nanny. Through my job as a nanny, I have had the opportunity to meet some amazing kids and their families. Right now I watch an 8 month baby girl names Raleigh and she is the coolest, sweetest, cutest baby alive! I have been watching her since she was 4 months and it is amazing to see her develop and grow. It feels like everyday is a new day because she is either learning or doing something new. It is a great feeling to know that I can have such a positive impact on a child's life and that is the main reason why I want to become an educator. It is so much fun to experience a child's curiosity about the world and the want to learn and know about anything and everything! I love the rewarding feeling of knowing that you were involved in the development and growth of a child and I love seeing a child's excited expression when something finally "clicks"!
So getting to the reason of why I created this blog...I am currently taking a course about Children's Literature and we were asked to create a website, blog and wiki that share our experiences , thoughts, and projects throughout this semester.
